President Barack Obama is coming to the political aid of Oregon Gov. Kate Brown. Jeff Mapes reports that the president praises her legislative success in a new video.

Brown is so far the only gubernatorial candidate this year to receive a video endorsement from Obama.
The president praises his fellow Democrat for signing legislation to raise the minimum wage, fight climate change and boost technical education.
Obama’s video pitch for Brown also offers advice for dealing with the state’s unusual system of vote-by-mail.
“When your ballot comes in the mail, don’t put it aside with the bills or bury it under a stack of menus, open it up, fill it out, mail it in.”
Obama has frequently found himself at loggerheads with the Republican majority in Congress. But Oregon is one of just seven states where Democrats control the governorship and both legislative chambers.
