Eugene Mayor Lucy Vinis joins City Club to highlight experiences during her first year in office and share hopes for the coming year. She emphasizes the idea that the work we are doing in Eugene matters and that we are all in this together.

Speaker Biography:

Mayor Lucy Vinis Prior to becoming mayor, Ms. Vinis was Development Director of Shelter Care. She has had a varied and diverse career including owning and managing a berry farm in Virginia. Her degrees are also diverse and include a B.A. in Religion from Kenyon College, an M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from the University of Michigan, and an M.S. in Entomology from the University of Maryland.

Love Cross joined KLCC in 2017. She began her public radio career as a graduate student, serving as Morning Edition Host for Boise State Public Radio in the late 1990s. She earned her undergraduate degree in Rhetoric and Communication from University of California at Davis, and her Master’s Degree from Boise State University. In addition to her work in public radio, Love teaches college-level courses in Communication and Public Speaking.
