The U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials are underway at Hayward Field in Eugene.

Track Town USA President, Vin Lananna, addressed the shadow of doping in the sport Friday.

Lananna: "It's very difficult to be in a position where we are actually having your fans, your kids et cetera, wondering 'Are these performances clean?' That to me is the worst part of this."

He thinks Sebastian Coe, an Olympic Track and Field medalist, is the right leader at this time for the International Association of Athletics Federations, or IAAF. Lananna says people need to trust the sport.

The Russian track and field team has been banned from competing in this summer's Olympics in Rio because of doping violations.
