This is the busiest time of year for the Eugene Airport. Over 34,000 travelers are expected at the airport during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
If you’re flying out of Eugene expect longer lines than usual.
Casey Boatman is the Airport Services Manager. He says travelers should check flight statuses before leaving home and plan enough time to get through security.
Boatman: “I think the important thing for our airport is that we notoriously have really short security lines, but when we have influx of passengers you should definitely get to the airport two hours before your flight.”
Boatman also says leave gifts unwrapped in luggage and check airline baggage policies before heading to the airport.
Sunday December 27th is expected to be the busiest travel day at the Eugene airport.
