Eugene and Springfield Offer Turn-In Days for Illegal Fireworks

Bend Fire Department

Eugene and Springfield police are offering two amnesty days to turn in illegal fireworks without being cited.

In Oregon, illegal fireworks include ones commonly known as bottle rockets, roman candles and firecrackers.

Any firework that flies into the air, explodes or travels more than 12 feet horizontally is also illegal without a permit.

In Eugene, turn-ins are July 2 at station 2 on 2nd street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In Springfield, you can turn in illegal fireworks on July 3 at fire station 3 on 28th street, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
