Springfield Public Schools Asking For Middle School Specs

Angela Kellner

The Springfield School District is seeking input on the new Hamlin Middle School. It’s been 20 years since the district replaced a middle school, and its education specifications need to be updated before starting the design process. The new middle school is scheduled to open in fall, 2017. Public forums take place Tuesday and Wednesday at two times and locations. For details, visit the Springfield Public Schools website here.

The forums are scheduled:

  • Tuesday, December 16, 2014, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Agnes Stewart Middle School (900 S. 32nd Street)*
  • Tuesday, December 16, 2014, from 6:00 to 7:30 at Thurston Middle School (6300 Thurston Road)
  • Wednesday, January 7, 2015, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Briggs Middle School (2355 Yolanda Avenue)
  • Wednesday, January 7, 2015, from 6:00 to 7:30 at Hamlin Middle School (326 Centennial Boulevard)*

*The meetings at Agnes Stewart and Hamlin will be conducted in both English and Spanish. Child care and light refreshments will be provided.
