The Eugene 4J School District plans to have students back for five-day a week in person learning in the fall.
4J spokesperson Kerry Delf said most of their students are now doing hybrid learning—in person for two days a week, and learning from home the rest of the time.
“We are expecting and planning for a return to school with 5 days a week onsite in the fall,” Delf said. “Although, we’re still awaiting guidance and information and of course the development of the public health situation.”
Delf said about 30% of the district’s families are continuing with online only learning at home for the rest of this school year. She said the district has offered COVID-19 vaccine clinics to teachers and staff and is now scheduling clinics for teens.
The district has a vaccine clinic for 16 and older on May 12.
In anticipation of federal approval, 4J has also scheduled a clinic for 12-15 year olds for later this month.
