Smoky Air Degrades Air Quality In Western Oregon

airnow.gov

Smoke from fires across the region are affecting air quality in the area.

Lane Regional Air Protection Agency says some areas may see "unhealthy" or "very unhealthy" air on the Air Quality index. They recommend keeping doors and windows closed. The smoke that’s impacting the South Willamette Valley is from the Beachie Creek Fire east of Salem. Dry northeasterly winds have pushed smoke into Lane County – it’s expected to stick around through Wednesday.
