As of Monday, there are 48 positive cases of COVID-19 in Lane County. Nineteen people have recovered from the virus. One person is hospitalized. Twenty-seven are recovering at home and there has been one COVID-19 related death in Lane County.

At a press briefing Monday, Lane County Public Health Officer Doctor Patrick Leudtke said local testing is increasing.

“So we’re getting local testing capacity which, of course, a few weeks ago we had none. So it’s very nice to see that.”

Leudtke says both Peacehealth and Mckenzie Willamette hospitals are now doing COVID-19 testing on-site. He’s hopeful there will be a ramp up in the next few days.
