30-year-old Lane County Man Died With COVID-19

A 30-year-old Lane County man who had tested positive for COVID-19 died last Friday, November 13th. The Eugene/ Springfield area resident was not hospitalized at the time of his death. That brings the coronavirus-related death toll in Lane County to 35.

Lane County Public Health announced Monday it was notified of 164 positive cases of COVID-19 since Friday. That makes a total of 3,304 confirmed and presumptive cases in Lane County.

Fifteen people are currently hospitalized with the virus.

Officials are also hoping to prevent a flu epidemic in addition to reigning in COVID-19 cases in the months ahead. Lane County Public Health is holding a free flu shot clinic Tuesday (Nov. 17) at the Lane Events Center parking lot in Eugene. It’s from 2 to 7 p.m. No insurance is required.
