A few trends are popping up in the majority of new COVID-19 cases in Lane County. Officials say schools, churches and nursing homes are where they are seeing them.

Health officials have reported 20 new cases in K-12 students, across all the county’s school districts.

“Something that I think we expect to see when we have a return to in-person classes,” said Davis, “but definitely something that we want to be aware of and take appropriate action.”

Public Health spokesperson Davis said there were also a few unvaccinated teachers reported among the new cases.
