On April 23, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown gave an address with some cautionary words for Oregonians, noting that cases exceeded 1,000 for the day, and that Oregon hospitals are on pace to surpass 300 patients with COVID-19. We also learned that an Oregon woman died from a severe blood clot within two weeks of having received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. All this as every Oregonian 16 and older is now eligible for the vaccine. On this week's edition of The Friday Show, we talk with Dr. Patrick Luedtke of Lane County Public Health about the increase in cases, and we take listener questions about the vaccine, the safety of certain group activities after the vaccine, and more.
