KLCC Bids Farewell To Our Snowden Journalism Intern

Jen Wright

This summer, KLCC was pleased to have news reporting intern Jen Wright through theCharles Snowden Program for Excellence in Journalism.

Jen, a native Oregonian, graduated from George Fox University in spring of 2021. She came to KLCC with experience working for the student newspaper “The Crescent” and a passion for journalism. She quickly gained skills in radio reporting at KLCC. During her ten weeks at the station, Jen reportedon the Olympic Track & Field Trials at Hayward Field, Juneteenth, drought, fireworks bans, and school board meetings. She made a huge contribution to the KLCC news team during her tenure. Her clear, crisp voice and thoughtful reporting made her sound like a seasoned veteran despite her newness to the craft. Now, Jen is moving east to work as a staff writer for the Bates College magazine in Maine. We wish her well.
