Eugene Pioneer Cemetery Holds Memorial Day Program

Across the Eugene-Springfield area, people gathered in parks and cemeteries to honor those Americans who gave their lives in times of war.

At the Eugene Pioneer Cemetery, the Eugene Fire Bagpipe Band were among many groups paying their respects on this Memorial Day.

The late morning ceremony eulogized fallen soldiers through music, speeches, and a black powder rifle salute, by the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War.
