Collaborative Efforts To Save The Sage-Grouse In The West

With a shrinking population and habitat, the greater sage-grouse is being considered for listing by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service under the Endangered Species Act. States, including Oregon, have been working collaboratively on proactive measures to prevent the listing and reduce the threats facing sage-grouse.

KLCC's Angela Kellner spoke with Dr. Jack Connelly, a retired wildlife biologist from Idaho, who has spent most of his career studying sage-grouse. We'll also hear from Brian Jennings of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers of Oregon about the work his group is doing at the state and local level.
