Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon announced a new litter of cheetah cubs born at the park. This makes 219 births for the most successful breeding program in the Western Hemisphere.
First-time mother, Delta, successfully delivered two boys and two girls - all of which have put on encouraging amounts of weight.
Carnivore Supervisor Sarah Roy says breeding cheetahs is notoriously difficult.
“It’s always such a positive and exciting thing for us, especially right now with all the craziness. It’s such a fun story for everyone to share. You know, not only are we happy to be helping the cheetah population as a whole, but we’re also helping, you know, all our fans and members out there. Showing them these cute little guys that are just doing so healthy.”
Wildlife Safari will announce how to submit name suggestions soon. Right now, the only way for the public to see the cubs is every Monday on the park’s Facebook page.
