Oregon’s U.S. Senator Ron Wyden is visiting college campuses today in a last minute effort to help get students registered to vote. The deadline is midnight tonight.

The Democratic Wyden says this is the home stretch before the mid-term election and students have a lot at stake.

“You can talk about health care costs,” Wyden says, “education costs, you can talk for example about a woman’s right to privacy and being able to make a personal decision.”

Wyden joins Student Associations at Portland Community College, the University of Oregon and Oregon State University to register young people on the spot.
