Oregon lawmakers are planning to meet Nov. 15-17 for the first round of interim hearings since the end of the regular session in June.

Lawmakers meet periodically during the interim to stay up-to-date on issues that may come before them during the next regular session. They don’t hold votes during these committee meetings, which typically feature testimony from invited witnesses only. Lawmakers will also get an update on the state’s revenue outlook from state economists.

And while the Oregon Capitol is open to the public, all of the hearings this week will be held online only. The Senate will meet in-person on Wednesday to consider the governor’s appointments to boards and commissions.

The last round of interim hearings in September was canceled when a special session on redistricting lasted longer than anticipated.
