The Oregon Country Fair is officially cancelled this year. In a letter on the fair website, General Manager Wally Bomgaars says “the health and safety of the public and local communities are paramount” and the organization will follow all state and federal recommendations regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thursday, Governor Kate Brown cancelled all large gatherings through September.

The three-day Oregon Country Fair has taken place in July on forested property outside Veneta annually since 1969. Bomgaars says they’re looking into ways to virtually gather this summer.
