2020 Oregon Country Fair Planning on Hold

Oregon Country Fair’s Board of Directors says planning for the annual July event is on hold. Ticket sales, booth registration, and entertainer booking has been postponed.

In a statement released Saturday, fair organizers said they are consulting with attorneys, land use planners and other experts to see how the event might be rescheduled when the pandemic is controlled and restrictions on large gatherings are lifted.

The OCF Board of Directors said, “the coronavirus has laid siege” and the only defense is to “change personal behaviors and cease gathering.”

The festival outside of Veneta attracts tens of thousands of people and is a significant source of revenue for regional artists, performers, food vendors and neighboring communities.

Last month, Gov. Kate Brown issued a statewide executive order that bans any public gatherings and instructs residents to stay home except going out for essential needs.
