The weekend’s storms brought 20 to 30 inches of new snow to Oregon’s high cascades. Forecasters say another warmer, wet storm is coming.

Snow fell Sunday in the Cascade foothills, including Cottage Grove and Creswell, and in the Roseburg area. Colby Newman with the National Weather Service in Portland says we’ll have a little break from the rain and snow Tuesday. But another storm is expected Wednesday night. It will bring lots of rain, which could mean more flooding.
Newman: “You know, anytime we get these periods of heavier rainfall, the landslide potential certainly increases so those travelling in the coast range or the cascades should maybe take corners a little more easy than normal just in case something has come across the road and they’re sort of the first upon it.”
Newman says to pay attention to the latest information on road conditions.
