Oregon Country Fair has named a new Executive Director. The position has been vacated since December, 2020.
Alaska native Kirsten Bolton has been appointed to lead OCF. She takes over July 29, 2021. Bolton currently serves as General Manager of the Eugene Saturday Market, a position she’s held since 2017.
“I’m very excited to become the executive director of the Oregon Country Fair. I bring four years of experience working with a diverse group of artists, makers and musicians. And the Saturday Market family has a lot of cross over with the Oregon Country Fair family.”
Bolton says she’s passionate about community building and looks forward to furthering the philanthropic work of the Fair. For the second year, OCF will be held virtually, due to the pandemic. Bolton says she’s eager to help bring in-person Country Fair back in 2022. The previous director,
Wally Bomgaars, resigned last December.
Eugene Saturday Market will host a live-stream watch party of Oregon Country Fair stages next Saturday from 11am until dusk (9pm.) Folks are invited to dress up and go to market to shop, eat and dance. The Saturday Market is at 8th and Oak Street in downtown Eugene.
