Eugene’s Holiday Market will be a little different this year, given the pandemic. The seasonal event featuring local artisans will be outdoors.
The Holiday Market has traditionally taken place inside the Lane Events Center. But since being outdoors is safer to avoid transmission of COVID-19, this year it’s in downtown Eugene. Marketing Manager Vanessa Roy says they’ll be in the park blocks, the home of Saturday Market.
“So we’re going to stay downtown. We’re going to use the same booth map that we’re using now for Saturday Market, with a few adjustments. And, we are going to light up the park blocks so we’re planning on some fun decoration.” Roy said. “We’re hoping to bring that festive atmosphere into downtown that we normally bring to the Lane Events Center.”
Roy advises people to dress warmly, bring an umbrella, and wear a face covering— which is required. Holiday Market starts on November 21st. The hours will be 10-3 on Saturdays through December 19th.
The Lane County Farmers Market will also remain in the Eugene downtown park blocks on Saturdays through December 19th.
