Columbia River Round Dance honoring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People (MMIW/P)

Columbia River Round Dance honoring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People (MMIW/P)

Join us at the second annual Columbia River Round Dance, in The Dalles on May 3rd, as we come together to honor Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People (MMIW/P).

Hosted by the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission (CRITFC), this event sheds light on stories of resilience, raises awareness, and fosters unity through cultural practices.

The round dance is a community dance where participants join hands and dance to the beat of the drum, symbolizing unity and support. The power round dances have in bringing healing to Native communities was one of the primary reasons the event was planned as such, rather than as a pow wow or open house event.

Let's stand together, Native and non-Native, to demand justice, healing, and change. Doors open at 5 p.m. See you there! More information at the link below
