The Eugene-Springfield NAACP will host its annual MLK Jr. Celebration on Monday, January 20, 2025, with the theme United for Justice: Many Voices, One Movement.

The event begins with a March starting at Autzen Stadium. Welcome and acknowledgements will take place at 9:00 am at the “X’s and O’s” near Autzen Stadium. The March will begin at 10:00 am and proceed through the Noble Peace Park in Alton Baker Park, over the DeFazio Bridge, onto 3rd and High Street, and conclude for a program at the Shedd Institute. The program will begin at 11:45 am and will feature a performance by the UO Gospel Choir; a guest keynote speaker; a commemoration of two Black elders who passed away in 2024, Dallas Boggs and Lyllye Reynolds-Parker; and a panel discussion with local elected officials.
