30th Annual D.R. Johnson Memorial Timber Truckers Light Parade
The 30th annual D.R. Johnson Memorial Timber Truckers Light Parade takes place Saturday, Dec. 9th.
The parade begins in Riddle at 5:30 p.m., passes through Tri-City and is expected to makes its way into Myrtle Creek about 7:30 p.m. The awards ceremony will be held at the Myrtle Creek Community Center.
This year's theme is "Rock and Roll Christmas."
Hailed as the loudest, most awesome parade you will ever see, you're likely to hear the parade before you see it. Truckers decorate their rigs with intricate, festive light displays, honk to holiday tunes and some sound their sirens as they pass by. The annual family event, which takes place rain or shine, attracts thousands of spectators and many parade-watchers stay warm alongside campfires and bonfires.
Expect some road closures and heavy traffic along the parade route. Stay warm, dress for the weather, and have fun!
