Two American Sign Language interpreters will interpret this classic in order to make this production accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing audience members. This production is appropriate for ages 6 - 100+. The play runs about 2.5 hours with a 15-minute intermission.

"We are excited to offer this service to the community," comments Executive Director Susan Goes. "The Tempest deals with universal themes, among them the transformative power of a parent's love. We are delighted to make this production of one of the world's oldest romantic comedies accessible to more people." 

This ASL (American Sign Language) interpreted performance augments Cottage Theatre's existing commitment to accessibility.

The theatre has installed a Hearing Loop assistive listening system which is available at all Cottage Theatre performances, and benefits those using telecoil-equipped hearing aids.

The play runs for a total of eleven performances from August 8 - 24.
