Jack Radsliff has proven himself to be one of the most in demand guitarists in the Pacific Northwest. In Portland, Radsliff can be heard frequently playing in bands led by Chuck Israels, Ron Steen, Michael Raynor, Alan Jones, Christopher Brown, Cyrus Nabipoor, George Colligan, Galen Clark, Dan Balmer, Kerry Politzer, Idit Shner, Kathleen Hollingsworth, and Torrey Newhart: a veritable who’s who of Oregon’s jazz musicians. In addition to his steady work around Portland, last year Jack had the opportunity to work as sideman to Jonathan Pinson, Greg Ward, Domo Branch and Charlie Brown; finish his upcoming record “Barefoot” featuring Randy Porter, Todd Sickafoose and Alan Jones (PJCE, summer 2024); and tour extensively with Ian George, Cyrus Nabipoor and his own trio, with more to come in 2024.

Jack’s playing can be heard on more than a dozen records from bandleaders including Tony Glausi, Martina DaSilva and Cyrus Nabipoor. He also has two records under his own name; “Migration Patterns” (2017) and “Barefoot” (2024). The Jack Radsliff Trio will be touring the music from “Barefoot” up and down the west coast Summer 2024. Follow Jack on instagram (@JackRadsliff) to see where he’s playing next.

Guitarist and composer Don Latarski is an American institution. His seasoned bandmates declare that nobody plays like him and with a reputation in finger style guitar circles cemented in the image of his guitar picks glued onto his fingernails—they are on to something.

Born in 1953, Latarski grew up in a rural area about 31 miles north of Detroit, MI, close enough to that Motown vibe to trade Little League games for guitar lessons at age 10. He relocated to Oregon to attend the University of Oregon, where he earned a music degree. He studied jazz and classical guitar in college, which proved to be a natural introduction to finger picking. After graduation the U of O quickly hired him to head their guitar studies program and his life since has revolved around music and teaching.

Latarski’s contribution to guitar playing cannot be understated—he has written more than 20 books on guitar instruction, and owns Crescent Studios in Eugene, where he is the audio engineer and producer. In addition to his dedication in teaching, Don has released 15 studio albums, and composed and recorded music for video games, short films, and radio programs.
