Between Ruth's adept songwriting and the sensitivity of Leal's guitar chops, Melissa Ruth and Johnny Leal have been the nucleus of Melissa Ruth & The Likely Stories for the last 15 years. On August 29th, they will be pairing down for a special duo show. Known as much for the space between the notes as the notes themselves, Melissa and Johnny create music that is as sparse as it is interconnected, reflecting the rural Western countryside that they call home. Joining them for this special night will be Eugene musician and legendary sound engineer, Don Ross on guitar.
