Mount Pisgah Arboretum’s annual Mushroom Festival, held in partnership with Lane Community College and the Cascade Mycological Society, is our biggest fundraising event of the year. This festival supports our work stewarding native habitats and providing outdoor environmental education.

We have many live talks, music, and events throughout the day during our Mushroom Festivals. Find the schedule below:

Talks on the Terrace:Our Talks on the Terrace is emceed by the Cascade Mycological Society’s foodie Heather Sielicki and features a line up of mushroom experts and chefs who will speak on and demo how to select, prepare, and preserve your favorite fungal finds.

• 10:45 to 11:30 – Valerie Nguyen, Fungi for the People: Mushroom bao buns with medicinal mushroom chili crisp oil and reishi tea tasting.
• 12pm to 12:45 – Trent Blizzard, President of North American Mycological Association: Talk on Preserving Wild Mushrooms.
• 1:15 to 2:00 – Kristen Blizzard, Modern Forager: Pickling Perceptions – Invigorate your favorite recipes with pickled mushrooms.
•  2:30 to 3:15 – Bob Rudel, Rainforest Mushrooms: Care and Feeding of your Mushroom Kit.
• 3:45 to 4:30 – Chef David Erickson, Painting with Food: Cooking demonstration on Mushroom canapés.

• Children under 12 free, no ticket purchase required.
• The Festival opens at 10 AM and closes at 5 PM.
• Parking at the Arboretum is free on Festival day.
• Please leave your dogs at home. For the safety and comfort of all, due to crowds, dogs are not permitted at the festival. Service dogs are allowed, please read our Festival dog policy here for more information.
• Refund requests may be processed automatically up to ten days prior to the event. Within ten days of the event, requested refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
