Oregon Contemporary Theatre shares holiday cheer by welcoming the Jose “Juicy” Gonzales Trio to perform Vince Guaraldi’s legendary score created for the television animated special A Charlie Brown Christmas. Two performances will be held Sunday, December 7, at Oregon Contemporary Theatre (OCT), 194 West Broadway in downtown Eugene. 2025 marks the 60^th anniversary of the animated special, and Guaraldi’s score has become a favorite of several generations of TV viewers. OCT gladly joins in celebrating 60 years of music considered essential accompaniment to the holiday season.

Audiences will be sure to have a similar experience—Jose “Juicy” Gonzales leads the trio on piano, accompanied by bassist Michael Marcus and drummer Matt Jorgensen. A Charlie Brown Christmas promises to be an intimate, moving holiday experience, with Gonzales sharing his deep understanding of the folio. The trio’s recording Linus and Juicy: A Holiday Album is a popular CD release by the trio, demonstrating their deep respect for Guaraldi’s score infused with their unique flair.
