Have you ever wanted to dance on a table to Irish music? We have the workshop for you!

Sean-nós, or "old style" dancing is percussive, improvisational, and playful. In this hands-on, foot-to-floor workshop we'll begin with simple movements and rhythms, working towards building your own improvised steps in a small space, just as dancers did on the tops of whiskey barrels or cottage half-doors. Expect laughter, creativity, and a deep connection to the pulse of Irish music.

Maldon Meehan is the premier teacher and scholar of Irish set and sean-nós dancing in Oregon. She offers classes in the Portland area, and created the first instructional DVD on sean-nós dance, which sold globally. We are thrilled to have her come and teach in Eugene!
