Join the Springfield Public Library for a free showing of the 1999 cult comedy classic Galaxy Quest at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 26th at the Wildish Community Theater in downtown Springfield.

Jason Nesmith is a washed up actor of the “cult classic” sci-fi show Galaxy Quest. While at a convention, he inexplicably agrees to help a group of real aliens called the Thermians, with a grave task. Transporting him, and the rest of the cast of Galaxy Quest aboard a working replica of the show’s old ship, the retired actors must become a real crew, and save the Thermians from a dangerous space warlord!

SpringFilm continues at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 17th, 2024, with a free showing of the Oscar Award Winning Film Chariots of Fire.
