UO Symphony Orchestra: Pines of Rome

UO Symphony Orchestra: Pines of Rome
One of Ottorino Respighi’s most frequently performed works, Pines of Rome celebrates the centuries-old trees that have been witness to the events for Roman history from the glory days of the Empire through the 20th century. Depicting four scenes in four movements, the vivid and colorful orchestration showcases a composer who looked ahead, as much as he found influence from the past.
