Sometimes it feels like the writing well of inspiration runs dry. You feel worn out, used up, a husk of a once-creative being. You’ve got to replenish yourself to be able to keep going.

Or perhaps it’s not quite so dramatic, but you could use a bit more balance or structure in this thing we call a writing life.

Whether you’re trying to take care of your emotional well-being, looking for inspiration, attempting to find balance between writing and the rest of your life, dealing with rejection, struggling to get into a routine, or facing writers block, our quarterly Writers Teatime Talk will help you find your way through.

It’s OK to need support. All writers–no matter where they’re at in their journey–run out of creative juice, feel off balance, or get overwhelmed.

It turns out, turning to other writers is the best way to get it. Why? Because we understand it. It happens to all of us.
Each quarter, we’ll focus on a topic related to the inspiration you need to keep your writers life going.
-Maintaining mental and emotional well-being while writing.
-Where to find inspiration and how to cultivate creativity.
-How to balance writing time with the rest of your responsibilities.
-Dealing with rejection: how to handle it and keep on going.
-Building a writing routine: how to establish a productive writing schedule.
-Navigating writers block: strategies to overcome obstacles and keep the words flowing.

November’s focus: Caring for Your Writer Self
We’ll explore different ways you can nourish yourself and fill your well of inspiration so you have something to draw from in your creative life.

What you can expect at our quarterly writers teas:
After we all get settled on comfy couches and chairs in the Wordcrafters studio, we’ll get to know each other a little bit and the struggles we’re each facing in our writing lives.

Then our facilitator, Jeaux Bartlett, will answer your questions, provide insight, ideas, resources, and probably a few exercises to leave you feeling nourished and replenished.

Throughout you’ll get to nibble on treats and sip tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.

Jeaux Bartlett (they/them or xe/xem) is a writer and teacher living in Eugene, Oregon. Jeaux has published several books and online courses focused on personal growth and their work has appeared in the Register Guard, Lane Monthly, Rochester insider, Crossroads Chronicle, and Nature’s Wisdom amongst other publications.

Jeaux is a certified Grief Recovery Method specialist, a National Spiritualist Teacher, and a Reiki Master Teacher. Jeaux enjoys writing about overcoming loss and adversity, and learning to trust yourself again.

Jeaux is currently working on Banned in Barbados, an autofiction novel based on their middle school years at an all-girls convent school in Barbados. When they are not writing, Jeaux enjoys playing with natural dyes, knitting, and building a writing camp in the woods.
