This year, the Fern Ridge Library welcomes Oregon Book Award finalist, Miriam Gershow to share her newest book, Closer. Gershow is a novelist, flash fiction and short story writer and teaches writing at the UO. She is a two-time finalist for the Oregon Book Awards’ Ken Kesey Award for Fiction. Published by Regal House, the story takes place in a fictional Oregon town. An altercation in a high school library creates unexpected and cascading consequences for a handful of students, faculty, and families.
