About Cirque Press
Cirque Press grew out of Cirque, a literary journal that publishes the works of writers and artists from the North Pacific Rim, a region that reaches north from Oregon to the Yukon Terrirotory, south through Alaska to Hawaii, and west to the Russian Far East. Cirque Press is a partnership of Sandra Kleven, publisher, and Michael Burwell, editor. Ten years ago, Cirque Press recognized that works of talented writers in the region were going unpublished, and the Press was launched to bring those works to fruition. Cirque Press publishes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, and seeks to produce art that provides a deeper understanding about the region and its cultures. The writing of Cirque Press's authors is significant, personal, and strong.
