An inmate escaped Saturday afternoon from Mill Creek Correctional Facility in Salem. Oregon State Police are investigating. The woman who drove the inmate away from the facility is Lacy Kay Evans. She is Caucasian, 6' tall, blond hair.
MCCF staff discovered inmate Jerry Teixeira missing at approximately 2:40 p.m., Saturday. Teixeira is a 34-year-old Caucasian male, 190 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and attire with the word Inmate on his clothing.
Teixeira entered DOC custody in October 2013, on burglary, drugs, and a weapons charge. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call Oregon State Police.
Mill Creek Correctional Facility (MCCF) is a minimum-security prison located five miles southeast of Salem.
