The family of a man from Vida, OR is asking the public for any information leading to his location and physical recovery. He’s been missing since Nov. 2.
Shane Sprenger, 47, was last seen at his Vida home after returning from a job-site near McKenzie Bridge, OR on Nov. 2. Two days later, his truck was found off of Mill Creek Road near the Blue River Reservoir.
His sister Misty Uecker who lives in Minnesota told KLCC the four people who last saw Sprenger at his home in Vida were the ones who found his vehicle. They reported him missing on Nov. 5.
“The unknowing aspect is probably the hardest,” Uecker said. “Because the same question of like, 'Where is he? What happened to him? Did he suffer? Who’s responsible?' And clearly you know, just looking for answers, looking for justice. ”
Most of Sprenger’s family resides in the Midwest in Minnesota and Wisconsin, Uecker said. She adds the past eight weeks have been difficult and is asking for any information -no matter how small- to help the family find some closure.
“You can’t begin to grieve when you don’t know what happened, you don’t know where he is,” Uecker said.
Sprenger’s family is offering a $50,000 cash reward leading to the successful location and physical recovery of Sprenger. They also started a Facebook group to help find Sprenger called ‘Missing in Blue River Oregon area: Find Shane Sprenger.’
Spenger’s disappearance is currently under investigation by the Lane County Sheriff Office. Tips and information on Sprenger’s whereabouts can be sent to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office at 541-682-4150. The case number is 21-6268.
