Thursday A.M. Update: Blazes Continue Across Oregon

High temperatures, along with windy conditions increased fire behavior across central Oregon Wednesday.

The Laurel Fire is burning on private and Bureau of Land Management land near Kimberly. It’s estimated at 1,000 acres.

The Green Ridge Fire is 1,013 acres burning on the Deschutes National Forest and private land. There are evacuation notices in place from the Deschutes and Jefferson County sheriff’s offices.

The Frog Fire on the Ochoco National Forest is now estimated to be 530 acres, with no containment. An area closure will be put in place Thursday.

The Hog Ridge Fire near Dayville and north of Highway 26 is estimated at 350 acres.

The Lily Fire on Deschutes National Forest is estimated to be 37 acres and 25% contained.

And, the Beachie Creek Fire in the Opal Creek Wilderness remains at 10 acres but is 0% contained.
