Parking is free this Saturday, June 11, at U.S. Forest Service day-use sites that normally charge a fee. It’s in celebration of “National Get Outdoors Day.”

The agency says the fee waiver is in effect at trailheads, picnic areas, boat ramps and visitors centers at the 16 national forests and grasslands in Oregon and Washington. It does not apply to overnight activities such as camping and cabin rentals.
