Party near the University of Oregon campus results in arrest and citations

An 18-year old was arrested Tuesday in connection with an unruly party last month near the University of Oregon campus. In a release this week, Eugene Police said they arrested Ashby Wendell Ziemer for riot and disorderly conduct. They also cited seven people who were at the party and said there may be more arrests.

Police said they received calls from the public at 11:30 a.m. on April 26th about a loud party at East 14th and Patterson.

People reported the street was crowded with partiers who were drinking and urinating in public, hitting vehicles, blocking the street, breaking glass and throwing garbage. The party was the same day as the Ducks' Spring Football Game.

At one point Eugene Springfield Fire was unable to get through the crowd to respond to an emergency call.

Police say this was a "BORG" style party. "BORG" stands for Black Out Rage Gallon, and is a trend on social media. A "BORG" is a gallon container with water, electrolytes, and liquor.
