A hiker was rescued Tuesday after they had a medical emergency on the Gordon Meadows trail in the Willamette National Forest.
The hiker had texted 911. Linn County Search and Rescue responded along with crews from Sweet Home Fire.
The patient was carried out, but refused further medical treatment or an ambulance.
According to a press release, the remote location and a lack of good cell coverage made it difficult to find the hiker.
It took nearly 2 hours for the team to reach the hiker.
