The Oregon women’s golf team clinched a dominant victory at the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional on Wednesday, securing a spot in the 2025 NCAA Championships.
Powered by a stellar performance from sophomore Kiara Romero, the No. 5 Ducks fired a 7-under 281 in the final round—their best of the week—to finish nine strokes ahead of the field.
Romero followed Tuesday’s program-record 10-under 62 with a 4-under 68, earning individual medalist honors at 16-under par—seven strokes clear of the next competitor.
Romero became the second Duck ever to win an NCAA Regional individual title, joining Briana Chacon from the Ducks' 2021-22 team. The win was also Romero's second in a row after winning the Big Ten individual title.
This marks just the second NCAA Regional title in program history for Oregon.
The team will now head to Carlsbad, California, for the NCAA Championships beginning Friday, May 16.
