Controlled ecological burns are planned for this weekend near Corvallis.
On Saturday, the Corvallis Fire Department will light a prescribed fire at Herbert Farm & Natural Area, a 221-acre City-owned parcel near the southern edge of Corvallis.
Then on Sunday, the Greenbelt Land Trust plans to burn up to 25 acres of restored grasslands at Bald Hill Farm.
Both burns could be postponed depending on weather conditions.
