A section of Eugene’s Alton Baker Park will be closed Friday, May 1, while the city does tree work.
The closure will be on the path between Frohnmayer Bridge and Day Island Road. There will be a detour in place with signs to direct users.
The work includes removing dead branches from 16 trees and removing four trees that were assessed by an arborist to be at risk of failure.
The closure is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
