Bloodworks Northwest is sounding the alarm about an emergency blood and platelet shortage across the region.
The blood bank says nearly all blood types are dangerously low, especially Type O.
There’s less than a one-day supply of Type O Blood for trauma and cancer patients.
Bloodworks NW urges people who can donate blood or platelets to sign up for an appointment to do so ahead of the Memorial Day weekend.
