This Year's Lane County Fair Will Bring New Attractions, Entertainers
The Lane County Fair kicks off tomorrow at the Lane County Fairgrounds.
Some changes to this year’s fair include a different main stage layout and a ventriloquist, the first they’ve had in some time. This year’s concert headliners include country star Trace Adkins, Melissa Etheridge and comedian Bill Engval, among others. Around 115,000 people are expected to attend over the five day span.
Assistant Fair Manager Rachel Bivens says adding new attractions with the old is a rewarding process:
“These are people we’ve talked to all year long, and then to watch them all sort of come together… I call it chaos because everybody wants to be there at the same time. But they know what they’re doing and so it’s controlled chaos, and it’s fun to sort of watch it go from an empty parking lot to this whole other world.”
The fair runs through Sunday at the Lane County Fairgrounds. You can find more information on events and services at atthefair.com.
