Eugene Family YMCA is open to anyone in the community who needs a place to stay warm, charge phones or a hot shower. Entrance is free and no membership is required to use the facilities.
The YMCA is located across from South Eugene High School and will be open until 10 pm today.
The YMCA plans to offer this service through Sunday, although hours will vary. Check eugeneymca.org for specific times.
Willamalane park and recreation has also opened facilities for those who need a warm shower. Community members can go to Bob Keefer Center today until 9 pm and Willamalane Park Swim Center until 8pm.
Bring a towel or 50 cents to use on of theirs and mention your power outage. The swim center across from Mckenzie-Willamette Hospital will also be open for showers Friday and Saturday. Call Willamalane for specific times.
