Sabrina Ionescu had a career-high 37 points to become Oregon's all-time leading scorer, and the No. 6 Ducks handed No. 3 Stanford its first conference loss with an 87-55 victory on Thursday night.
Speaking to GoDucks after the game, Coach Kelly Graves says Ionescu brought it last night.
GRAVES: "Right from the start, you know, that first quarter was kinda back and forth. Second quarter, we started to really establish kinda who we are and how we wanted to play the game and then I thought the third quarter is when we put the hammer down. That was as good of a defensive quarter as we've played this year. But it starts with Sabrina, she was magical tonight in lots of different ways.”
Ionescu went into the game needing 24 points to match Oregon career leader Alison Lang, who had 2,252 points between 1980 and 1984.
When the record was announced on the video scoreboard, the crowd of over 12,000 people gave the senior guard a standing ovation.
